Google is looking to solve critical business problems in product security in Google Cloud and partner with existing teams across Google to set the direction for product security, including security analysis, building full-life-cycle infrastructure for Cloud Native security programs, and building and scaling AI-powered Cloud Native capabilities.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with software development in Python and SQL.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience analyzing the security of systems (e.g., security testing, vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, etc.).
- Experience programming in Go.
- 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
- Experience with information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile
- Experience with Cloud Native security programs
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Help set the focus, direction and impact of this organization with regards to product security.
- Building full-life-cycle infrastructure for Cloud Native security programs (Network Security, Cloud Insider Risk)

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
