Samsara is looking to improve the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of physical operations by harnessing IoT data to develop actionable insights and improve operations. The Vehicle Connectivity team specifically needs to build and operate features for Samsara's Vehicle Gateway (VG), enabling seamless integration between devices, vehicles, and the cloud, and ensuring devices remain securely and reliably connected in the field.
Requirements
- Strong programming/coding fundamentals in a modern language such as Golang, React-native, Swift, Kotlin, or Python
- Experience designing, building and maintaining user facing production systems
- Mobile Development experience
- SQL and data analysis capabilities
- Experience in IoT, telematics, condition monitoring solutions
Responsibilities
- Work with product managers, designers, firmware, and infrastructure engineers to design, build, test, and deliver end-to-end products and features
- Develop skills and knowledge across multiple technologies - Go, GraphQL, Typescript, JavaScript, React, and React Native are some of the components of our technology stack.
- Solve real life problems and optimize fleets globally
- Participate in a one week per quarter on-call rotation and support outage investigations in the team's ownership domain
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on customer success, build for the long term, adopt a growth mindset, be inclusive, and win as a team) as we scale globally and across new offices
