Roblox is looking to build and scale large distributed systems, data processing and analysis pipelines, an access control system, and Open Cloud APIs to help game creators reach the broadest audience possible and to empower the community to bring any experience they can imagine to life.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working on backend, distributed systems that are scalable and reliable
- Experience in architecting, designing and leading implementation of mission critical applications at scale
- Proficient in one or more programming languages (C-Sharp, Go, Java, C++, Python or similar programming language)

- Guide the future technical direction of the team and have impact on engineering
- Be a technical bar-raiser for high code quality, architectural designs, and long-term approaches
- Mentor and develop fellow engineers on the team
- Collaborate with passionate, Engineers, Product Managers and other Roblox team members, cross-functionally
- You take a creative and strategic approach to solving hard problems and envisioning ways to improve and grow the capabilities of the system. You have a vision for what can make a product great.
- You can work well as part of a team and know how to collaborate with all participants to develop the best solutions. You are happy to share your knowledge with everyone on the team.
- Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
