Agility Robotics is looking to enhance the motion capabilities and autonomy of their robot, Digit, in real-world deployments by developing and testing advanced control algorithms for whole-body manipulation.
Requirements
- Experience with one or more of the following: Optimal Control, Model-Predictive Control, State Estimation, Control Systems Theory.
- Strong software experience in modern C++ and Python
- Familiarity with standard agile development tools and practices, including Jira, Git, feature branching, CI/CD workflows
Responsibilities
- Solve whole-body robot coordination problems (including modeling, simulation, estimation, compensation) related to robust execution of manipulation trajectories and teleoperation
- Design and implement high-performance control algorithms for real-time on-robot execution
- Develop simulation and hardware experiments; perform failure analysis to evaluate and improve software reliability
- Collaborate with the Test team to expose, analyze and solve hardware issues
- Create compelling demonstrations that push Digit’s capabilities to its limits
Other
- Industry experience deploying mobile manipulation robots in real world applications
- MS or Ph.D. in robotics, computer science, or related field or have equivalent industry experience
