Microsoft has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in the Cloud+AI Azure Data Explorer team to develop features, improvements, enhancements, and bugfixes within Azure Data Explorer products which are used by Microsoft’s worldwide customer
Requirements
- Coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 3+ years of experience with PowerShell, C-Sharp, or C++
- Experience working on large-scale distributed services with on-call responsibilities
- Front-end: React/TypeScript
- Back-end: C-Sharp/API development/Resource Provider development
- DevOps: CI/CD ADO
- Experience with automation within production and deployment of a complex product feature
Responsibilities
- Defines and develops standardized, repeatable, scalable solutions to guarantee quality
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to ensure high availability of services
- Develops “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable
- Improves test coverage for services, organizes and implements integration tests, and resolves problem areas
- Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products
- Applies best practices to reliably build code that is based on well-established methods
- Builds, enhances, reuses, contributes to, and identifies new software developer tools to support other programs and applications
Other
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience
