Marriott is looking to build out its next generation cloud-based application and federation services, requiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the Data Platform team in researching, designing, and developing next-generation data capabilities and products.
Requirements
- 7+ years’ hands on experience developing large scale backend applications at enterprise scale
- 5+ years’ technical delivery ownership of large-scale applications with Java/J2EE technology stack
- 4+ years’ experience with one or more of the following: Developing microservices on Play, Spring Boot, ForgeRock, and Cassandra
- 2+ years’ experience in managing microservice applications built on AWS
- Experience with ForgeRock, or other IAM products
- Experience with NoSQL databases, preferable Cassandra
- Experience with Data monitoring Tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
Responsibilities
- Performs research, analysis, design, and development on a wide range of next generation data capabilities and products.
- Sets technical standards and develop reusable frameworks to ensure consistent and efficient creation of microservice capabilities and products.
- Assume technical ownership of Service Provider deliverables and lead their technical resources to ensure deliverables are of high quality, follow our technical standards & best practices and perform at scale.
- Research emerging technologies that will provide future capabilities as well as seek solutions for complex technical issues.
- Make decisions on complex, non-routine requests to support analytics based decisioning by Marriott business teams.
- Trains and/or mentors other team members, and peers as appropriate
- Performs complex quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery processes and projects.
