Found is building tools to address the challenges faced by the self-employed workforce, such as navigating taxes, accounting, bookkeeping, and business banking, by providing them with the security and peace of mind typically associated with large corporations.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in data infrastructure, data engineering, or analytics engineering roles.
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres/MySQL), dbt, and Airflow
- Experience working with cloud-native big data infrastructure on the public cloud (We use BigQuery and Vertex on GCP).
- Ability to design effective data models for data warehouse storage for use in analytics and training machine learning models.
- Experience with steering the maintenance of a data warehouse with contributors from multiple teams. We use DBT and Data hub for metadata, with Airflow for scheduling.
- Experience with feature stores powering ML models (we use Chalk).
- Advocated for and rolled out new technologies or open-source frameworks that empower data and product organizations to make data driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate large scale data infrastructure systems across multiple environments to store, aggregate, and progress large amounts of data.
- Build a data platform-as-a-service for internal customers, ensuring data integrity, sanity, tagging, and discoverability.
- Bridge the gap between engineering and analytics, helping inform the roadmap for data infrastructure for the company.
- Implement various ETL infrastructures for the company’s topline metrics, reporting, and product functionality.
- Establish standards and practices ensuring that the data warehouse is maintained to a high standard.
- Researching, training, and deploying ML models to detect and stop fraud in real time.
- Using data to inform the direction that our product teams should take and what to build next.
