Apple is seeking an exceptional engineer to work on cybersecurity software engineering, focusing on Apache Spark's features and mission-critical information security capabilities.
Requirements
- Apache Spark expertise or equivalent is a prerequisite.
- Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of large data platforms, e.g., Apache Spark Structured Streaming or Apache Lucene internals.
- Proven track record of shipping high performance and high quality services: JVM languages (Scala and Java preferred), Golang, or Swift.
- Demonstrated proficiency with data modeling, data lake, lakehouse, and/or data warehousing.
- Experience working with cloud compute environments like OpenStack, AWS, and GCP.
- Expertise in writing high-quality code, tests, CI/CD, documentation, and production services.
- Proficiency with Golang and Python.
Responsibilities
- Work within the cybersecurity software engineering team to drive Apache Spark’s state-of-the-art features.
- Support and develop platform services that underpin mission-critical information security capabilities.
- Ensure successful design, development, and delivery of product objectives in collaboration with engineering and partner teams.
- Work closely with developers and users of the platforms to ensure successful design, development, and delivery of product objectives.
- Focus on automation, scalability, and reliability for all layers of the stack.
- Contribute to open-source software when appropriate based on experience with OSS software.
- Deliver high-performance and high-quality services using JVM languages, Golang, or Swift.
