Specifically, the DBSQL AI team is focused on building cutting-edge scalable AI capabilities and model integrations for both LLM and traditional models through SQL.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production level experience in either Java, Scala or C++.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures and their real-world use cases.
- Experience with distributed systems, databases, and big data systems (Apache Spark™, Hadoop).
Responsibilities
- Help build cutting-edge scalable AI capabilities and model integrations for both LLM and traditional models through SQL at Databricks.
- Work with runtime and performance engineers as well as model researchers on building the next-gen AI system that powers customer’s warehouse workloads.
- Contribute to the development of AI systems that integrate with SQL for advanced data analysis beyond traditional SQL query engines.
Other
- BS (or higher) in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfortable working towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
- Motivated by delivering customer value and impact.
