SS&C is looking to enhance its digital experience offerings by designing and implementing new applications and services, including a mobile application, and evolving its development ecosystem to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Proven ability with the following: writing RESTFul APIs using Java and Spring
- relational and document databases (e.g. Postgres, MySql, MongoDB)
- learning new open-source software, APIs and frameworks
- writing HTTP services in higher-level languages (e.g. Java/Spring)
- object-oriented and cloud native design
- Exposure to automated testing, modern CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with bash, Git, JIRA and agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing applications and services supporting our digital experience offerings, including a mobile application built on hybrid technology.
- Integrating with CI/CD, Kubernetes, VMs, data platforms, networking and storage.
- Implementing industry-wide best practices around micro-service development.
- Building common components for reuse across the organization, maintaining documentation, demo applications and reviewing pull requests.
- Evolving our development ecosystem by exploring and prototyping new ways of meeting our business needs.
- Sharing an on-call rotation and be the escalation contact for service incidents.

Other
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in a software engineering role. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
