- Proven ability to design and implement scalable APIs and data-driven applications.
- Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Familiarity with infrastructure concepts such as containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD practices.
- Experience integrating or building around AI/ML services, especially in application layers involving inference or interactive AI tools.
- Strong collaboration skills with a history of working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A product mindset with attention to user experience, performance, and extensibility.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications that power research workflows across scientific domains.
- Collaborate closely with scientists, product managers, and other engineers to build intuitive, flexible user interfaces and backend services.
- Integrate diverse services and tools — including ML inference pipelines, human-in-the-loop interfaces, and data management systems — into a cohesive platform.
- Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and maintainability through code reviews, testing, and automation.
- Drive architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical planning to support extensibility and scale.
- Build systems that enable researchers to bring their own data, customize processing, and adapt workflows to their unique needs.
- Partner with infrastructure and platform teams to ensure seamless deployment, observability, and operational stability of services.
