TwelveLabs is pioneering multimodal foundation models for video comprehension, aiming to transform media analysis. They are looking for a Fullstack Engineer to build and scale the infrastructure powering AI-driven video workflows, transitioning from prototype to a production-ready platform.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience building and scaling production web applications
- Strong expertise in Node.js backend development and API design
- Experience with database design, query optimization, and data modeling at scale
- Track record of building asynchronous job processing systems and handling long-running operations
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and CDN configuration
- Proven ability to architect systems that scale from hundreds to thousands of users
- Deep experience with video processing (FFmpeg, transcoding, streaming protocols)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend architecture using Next.js API routes and Node.js
- Build robust video processing pipelines for ingestion, transcoding, and multi-format exports
- Create background job systems for long-running video operations with proper queuing and error handling
- Architecting data models and database schemas that support collaborative video editing at scale
- Implementing authentication, authorization, and session management systems
- Optimizing video storage and CDN delivery for thousands of concurrent users
