Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills; you can build reliable backend services and ship fast, accessible UIs that handle real-world edge cases
- Strong proficiency in backend technologies (e.g., Golang) and API design
- Experience with modern FE stack - JavaScript/TypeScript, React
- You know what high quality code and software engineering processes look like and know how to foster an environment that creates them
- You’ve worked with Golang, gRPC, Docker, Kafka, AWS cloud, SnowFlake, Databricks
- Experience in the Financial domain
- Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend and frontend payments systems and infrastructure that power multiple products across Coinbase
- Serve as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for key projects, driving them from design to production with high accountability
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap
- Mentor and train other team members and contribute to building a strong, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture
- Troubleshoot and debug complex fullstack issues, ensuring performance, stability, reliability, and security

- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering
- Strong collaboration skills with product, design, and engineering teams
- You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together
- In-person participation is required throughout the year
- Attendance at team and company-wide offsites is expected and fully supported
