Google needs software engineers to develop next-generation technologies that handle information at massive scale and extend beyond web search, and to work on projects critical to Google's needs, including Google Cloud, which accelerates every organization's ability to digitally transform its business and industry.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with container technologies and platforms including any of the following: Docker, Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Cloud Computing Platform.
- 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
