The company is looking for a Systems Engineer to perform moderate research, design, and systems engineering assignments, including management support and triage with an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Good and advanced understanding of SQL Language and SQL Server is required.
- Some basic programming experience in either C-Sharp of F is desired but not required.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of storage systems such as Linux kernel, UNIX kernel, UNIX file system, AWS environments and Windows Servers infrastructure.
- Knowledge of scripts for automation is helpful.
- Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
- Diagnose system performance problems related to communications, systems and/or databases
Responsibilities
- Construct queries and/or scripts for processing of workloads by system.
- Deploy application to production systems and perform appropriate post-deployment validation.
- Apply basic problem-solving skills in multiple operating environments to support assignments involving the execution of a series of related tasks.
- Apply basic knowledge of system components in completing assigned tasks (i.e., storage systems, Linux kernel, UNIX kernel, UNIX file system and Windows infrastructure).
- Diagnose system performance problems.
- Install or troubleshoot programs within system environments.
- Perform online system functions to assist with tasks encountered in execution of daily responsibilities such as utility functions and editing of files.
Other
- 3-5+ years of Systems Engineering experience. A minimum of 3 years is expected. Preferable 4-5+
- Emphasis on Systems Engineering and/or Job Control Management is preferred
