Requirements
- Strong background building cloud-native, distributed solutions
- Experience designing tooling and automation to simplify the operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems
- Proficiency in backend services with multiple managed languages (e.g., Java, Scala, Go, C-Sharp, or similar)
- Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and building modular, reusable, testable components
- Familiarity with Kubernetes platforms (e.g., AKS, EKS, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms for automating infrastructure, builds, testing, and releases
- Experience with modern IaC frameworks such as Pulumi, Crossplane, or AWS CDK
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering architecture design reviews
- Set a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews
- Building services that adhere to our high bar on availability and latency in this mission-critical space
- Working with the latest open source technologies
- design and deliver self-service infrastructure solutions that empower development teams to innovate rapidly
- work closely with site reliability engineers (SREs) and software engineers (SWEs) to build platform-as-a-service (PaaS) capabilities for provisioning infrastructure
- Improve our Engineering process, including long-term thinking, sprint planning and stand-ups

- This role is based out of our Seattle office or Boston office and follows a hybrid schedule.
- We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
