Lantern is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their healthcare technology team to design and implement robust, scalable testing frameworks for backend services, web applications, and mobile apps, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance in the healthcare domain.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Java (C or Python is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured), and backend test automation.
- Experience with Azure Cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub for version control and automation.
- Familiarity with BrowserStack or similar platforms for cross-browser and mobile testing.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable, and reliable test automation frameworks.
- Experience automating QA for backend, web, and mobile platforms using Java, Selenium, and API testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of performance and security testing in regulated healthcare environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks for backend services, web applications, and mobile apps in a healthcare domain.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, product managers, and compliance teams to ensure testability, quality, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA) across all software components.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Implement and maintain automated API, UI, and backend tests using Java, Selenium, and API testing tools.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure Cloud, GitHub Actions, and related DevOps tools.
- Utilize tools like BrowserStack for cross-browser and mobile testing to ensure consistent user experience.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work closely with engineering teams to resolve defects efficiently.
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation, with significant exposure to the healthcare domain.
- Solid understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers in testing best practices.
