Radiant is building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company's first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt failsafe microreactor that can be transported anywhere power is needed and run for up to five years without the need to refuel. Portable nuclear power with rapid deploy capability can replace similar-sized diesel generators, and provide critical asset support for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. Radiant's unique, practical approach to nuclear development utilizes modern software engineering to rapidly achieve safe, factory-built microreactors that leverage existing, well-qualified materials. The Senior Software Engineer will support the commercialization of the first mass-produced nuclear reactor.
Requirements
- 5-8+ years of professional experience in Python, C++, C, or similar object-oriented programming languages
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, and common CI/CD frameworks
- Experience testing software and hardware systems
- Experience with embedded and distributed software development and familiarity with common design patterns
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain a variety of internal tools and platforms
- Help define and build our simulation and analysis stack to support the development of Digital Twins
- Collaborate across teams to integrate new and existing software with a variety of software and hardware platforms
- Mentor and be a technical leader: review code and provide feedback, establish best practices (documentation, testing, deployment automation)
