This senior individual contributor position within WAS Tech reports directly to the Senior Manager, Wealth and Advice Solutions Technology. This role will support the future growth of the WAS Tech business.
Requirements
- Hands on experience gained through at least 10 years in a complex full-stack software development role
- Strong experience developing single page applications with Angular, HTML, TypeScript and CSS
- Strong experience developing RESTful APIs with Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented principals and design patterns
- Application development using TDD Practices like unit testing and Behavior/Feature testing
- Experience writing unit, integration, and automation tests.
- Application performance evaluation and tuning skills
Responsibilities
- lead the development for one or more WAS Tech Software Engineering delivery teams and enable them to achieve consistent, predictable, high-quality delivery by implementing best practices, automation frameworks, development techniques such as pair programming, and oversight in the areas of software development and testing.
- deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.
- supporting software development solutions across the WAS Tech organization which is focused on high-net worth and ultra-high net worth retail investors.
- Proactively detect, troubleshoot, and remediate issues affecting production applications.
- Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to affected parties during the investigation and resolution of any individual or system-wide outage.
- Experience providing Production and Operations Support.
- Work with development teams at the appropriate stages to ensure the support strategy guidelines are followed and new systems or projects meet the production standards.
Other
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with responsive web design
- Experience building accessible web applications (WCAG 2.1 Guidelines)
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools - GitHub/GitActions.
- Strong Application Security experience integrating and resolving vulnerabilities within Veracode and SonarQube.
