Anduril Industries is looking to enhance its Anduril Connect solution, a next-generation system for advancing autoPACE capabilities by implementing advanced traffic shaping, link prioritization, and dynamic management of physical layer transports and wireless communication devices. The goal is to provide enhanced visibility and control of physical layer transports through deep integration with wireless devices, tuning parameters on third-party devices and first-party communication waveforms, ensuring seamless integration with existing SDWAN/SDN infrastructures and enabling plug-and-play functionality for their Menace platforms.
Requirements
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, Go or Python.
- Strong foundation in networking concepts, including SDWAN and SDN.
- Experience with control plane development and data processing architectures.
- Ability to work with tactical radio systems, including understanding underlying parameters like signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and capacity.
- Familiarity with transport-level encryption and network policy deployment using a mix of SDN/SDWAN technologies.
- Experience in developing or maintaining systems within a distributed service bus (DSB) or similar data prioritization frameworks.
- Prior exposure to product ecosystems like Menace, Trellis, or Silvus radios.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software components for Anduril Connect SDWAN, focusing on advanced traffic shaping, prioritization, and enabling complex communications.
- Implement the link observability and characterization layer that evaluates underlying link details (e.g., tactical radio signal quality, capacity) to drive effective decision-making.
- Collaborate on integration efforts with existing SDWAN/SDN network gear, ensuring our solutions work fluidly in varied operational environments.
- Enhance Anduril Connect to support more than basic priority routing (beyond just priority 1 and 2), enabling the system to shape specific types of traffic across designated channels.
- Leverage the Distributed Service Bus (DSB) to embed richer context into data streams, filtering out low-priority traffic and ensuring high-priority communication continuity.
- Implement flexible Emissions Control (EMCON) policies to enable users to manage their electromagnetic signature.
- Work on the Menace platform, enabling a plug-and-play experience where activation delivers immediate, robust connectivity without the need for manual intervention.
Other
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the Menace and networking teams, to ensure alignment of technical strategy and seamless integration of systems.
- Engage in direct customer discussions, particularly with military and defense clients, to understand their requirements and implement solutions that meet ITAR and security clearance standards.
- Experience working in military or defense-related environments; ITAR familiarity is a plus.
- Possession of or ability to obtain necessary security clearances, if required.
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
