Microsoft Ads is looking to solve the problem of providing a highly scalable platform for online advertising, competing with Google Advertising platform, and growing its share of the market.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 2+ years of experience with system design, problem solving, and debugging.
- 2+ years of experience building user-facing applications at scale, including modern web technologies (e.g., ReactJS, Angular, or similar).
- Versatility across the stack: ability to work on front-end, back-end services, APIs, and data layers as needed.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating services in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP), with familiarity in CI/CD pipelines and containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in data-driven decision making, with the ability to build metrics, analyze performance, and connect technical outcomes to business impact.
- Dependable coding experience with C-Sharp, JavaScript, HTML and/or Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

- Work closely with PMs, UX designers and partner teams to design and develop features from concept to release and live operations.

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Committed collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of mentoring others and influencing technical direction across teams.
- Starting January 26, 2026, MAI employees are expected to work from a designated Microsoft office at least four days a week if they live within 50 miles (U.S.) or 25 miles (non-U.S., country-specific) of that location.
