The Minecraft Marketplace Services team powers the services behind Minecraft's Marketplace, one of the main revenue drivers for the entire game. These services scale to support hundreds of millions of Minecraft players helping them find content they will enjoy playing. Alongside Minecraft’s continually increasing player base, our robust creator ecosystem continues to grow the number of items in the catalog. We look for ways to personalize the marketplace and provide recommendations to the player.

Requirements

  • 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • 2 years of experience writing cloud-based web services.
  • 2 years of cloud compute, storage, cache, virtual machines, containers, subnetting, auth, content delivery networks (CDNs) or comparable cloud-based web services.
  • 1 year of experience designing and implementing AI-powered tools, with an understanding of security protocols and authentication frameworks across distributed systems.
  • Understanding test- and performance-driven methodology to build services that ensure our services are secure, robust and handle extremely high scale.
  • Experience with one or more modern web technologies such as .NET, Node, React, Angular, building RESTful APIs.
  • 2 years of experience building RESTful API's.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and coordinating features using Microsoft Azure compute and storage
  • Defining initiatives that impact our games or services
  • Ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables
  • Building meaningful partnerships with developers, program managers, and designers
  • Identify technology opportunities, risks, and prototyping new techniques to create high quality player-focused games.
  • As a full stack developer, you evaluate requirements, estimate costs, and design and implement products and services.
  • You define and implement the quality criteria for your products and services, using measurements and insights to understand and validate the quality of experience for customers.
