Mojang Studios, the creators of Minecraft, is looking to build a better world through the power of play by developing and improving the Minecraft Marketplace Services, which powers the services behind Minecraft's Marketplace, one of the main revenue drivers for the game.
Requirements
- Coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Experience writing services
- Experience writing cloud-based web services, preferably in Azure
- Understanding of Azure for compute, storage, cache, virtual machines (VMs), containers, subnetting, auth, content delivery networks (CDNs) or comparable cloud-based web services
- Understanding test- and performance-driven methodology to build services
- Experience with one or more modern web technologies such as .NET, Node, React, Angular, building RESTful APIs
- Experience designing and implementing AI-powered tools
Responsibilities
- Developing and coordinating features using Microsoft Azure compute and storage
- Defining initiatives that impact our games or services
- Ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables
- Building partnerships with developers, program managers, and designers
- Evaluating requirements, estimating costs, and designing and implementing products and services
- Defining and implementing the quality criteria for products and services
- Managing and improving the engineering process

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 4+ years technical engineering experience
- Effective communication, both within the team and across the organization
