Anduril Industries is looking to develop advanced autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to tackle the challenging industry demands of seabed exploration.

Requirements

  • Strong C++ experience in a Linux development environment
  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization
  • Experience with development and sustainment of distributed software platform and application architectures
  • Experience programming for embedded and physical devices (preferred)
  • Experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems (preferred)
  • Experience with modeling and simulation (preferred)
  • Python, Rust, and/or Go experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Implement and introduce cross-domain solutions for autonomy on the edge
  • Generate system solutions to increase reliability, ease-of-use, and capability across a variety of customer missions
  • Write and maintain core libraries (frame transformations, targeting and guidance, communications, etc.) that all robotics platforms at Anduril will use
  • Drive architecture selection and design for robotic mission systems, including hardware selection, compute, storage and network architecture
  • Own major feature developments for the Dive-LD and manage rollout to the fleet
  • Troubleshoot and analyze remotely deployed software systems
  • Develop and sustain distributed software platform and application architectures, running under dynamic network topologies

Other

  • Travel up to 15% of time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
  • Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
  • MS or PhD (preferred)
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn outside of core discipline
