athenahealth is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their MonoStreams team, which is responsible for overseeing Perforce source control systems and all supporting tooling that enables releasability and tracking of code through the software lifecycle. The goal is to improve developer productivity and ensure products work across an open ecosystem.
Requirements
- Proficient in at least one modern programming language.
- Hands-on experience with Source Control Management (particularly Perforce) greatly preferred.
- Experience with system administration in Unix/Linux
- Knowledge of DevOps, RESTful APIs, AWS, Jenkins and similar broad technologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of Perl is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews and provide actionable feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product, operations, etc.) to achieve project goals.
- Develop knowledge to act as a domain expert.
- Take ownership of what the team builds and oversee efforts across the team to ensure completion.
Other
- 4+ years of experience with significant software engineering skills and computer science experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Bootcamp, or equivalent work experience (including internships).
- Experience working in an Agile environment at an enterprise level.
