Broadcom's VMware Cloud Foundation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to a critical team that drives customer satisfaction and pushes the boundaries of cloud infrastructure performance.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and its implementation in large-scale environments.
- Extensive work experience in production software development, including rigorous testing and performance engineering methodologies.
- Demonstrated capability to architect and understand complex software solutions across distributed systems.
- Significant experience working on and contributing to large-scale distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of CPU, memory, network, and storage hardware and software subsystems and their impact on system performance.
- Proven exposure to data analytics, machine learning, and statistical analyses, with the ability to apply these techniques to real-world problems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to complex challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement advanced performance monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics solutions for VMware Cloud Foundation.
- Utilize machine learning and artificial intelligence to create predictive models and automate performance issue detection and resolution.
- Contribute to the architecture and evolution of a scalable and resilient performance analytics platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance insights into the broader VCF product suite.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues across distributed systems.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to technical documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Other
- A Masters or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in software development, performance engineering, or data analytics.
