InVita Healthcare Technologies is seeking a Senior PHP Developer to build, enhance, and maintain critical applications supporting the blood and healthcare industries. The role focuses on back-end PHP development with MySQL, aiming to deliver secure and scalable applications.
Requirements
- developing applications in PHP.
- Strong experience with MySQL including schema design and query optimization.
- Familiarity with PHPUnit or similar testing frameworks.
- Some experience with React and ability to contribute to front-end development when needed.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Proficiency with Git and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy PHP codebases.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain PHP applications, including support for existing legacy frameworks.
- Work with MySQL to design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance.
- Support user interface development in React as needed, collaborating with front-end developers to deliver end-to-end features.
- Write and maintain unit tests with PHPUnit to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while helping enforce coding standards within the team.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
- Ensure applications meet healthcare compliance and security requirements.

- This is a hybrid role with 3-days per week required to be worked in the Baltimore, MD office.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with proven success working across engineering and product teams.
