Google needs software engineers to develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another, specifically for creating performant, power efficient, engaging and innovative watch faces and apps that power the Pixel Watch experience.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience with android application development.
- Experience with Kotlin or Java.
- 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- 5 years of experience with performance and large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Design, develop, and test high-quality code for watch faces and applications using Kotlin/Java and other relevant technologies.

- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
