Intuitive's new robotic platform, the Ion™ endoluminal system, aims to improve the early diagnosis of lung cancer by providing minimally invasive biopsy in the peripheral lung. The Software Engineer (GUI) will develop user-facing features for this platform to enhance physician experience and patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and supporting user interfaces
- Exceptional working knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with GUI development frameworks
- Familiar with development in a Linux environment
- Experience developing user interfaces using Qt/QML
- Experience with graphics libraries such as OpenGL, OpenSceneGraph, Vulkan, QtQuick3D
- Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
Responsibilities
- Design and implement world-class GUI elements and workflows using Qt/QML and other tools in an embedded C++ environment
- Prototype new GUI elements and workflows, rapidly iterating to prove concepts or fail quickly
- Refine prototypes to production-quality software through rapid iterations
- Contribute to system and software architecture for the Ion platform
- Create requirements and formal test protocols for new features
- Stay up to date with latest UI development trends and technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our software

- BS in CS or related fields; MS or higher is a plus
