Equinix's Core Product Services is growing its platform engineering team to build and maintain the internal platform for Equinix's digital product portfolio, aiming to shape how the next generation of infrastructure is delivered and improve developer experience.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes (preferably on bare metal)
- Experience with CI/CD systems
- Experience with Linux and containerization
- Experience operating production systems and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
- Experience with Cluster API (CAPI)
- Experience with Go or another high-level programming language
Responsibilities
- help build and maintain the internal platform for Equinix’s digital product portfolio
- support our customers—Equinix engineers—with a robust set of core services, including CI/CD, observability, and an internal developer portal
- Prioritize developer experience—our customers are Equinix engineers, and they deserve the best.
- Proactively identify weaknesses and drive solutions with a self-starter mindset.
- Promote a DevOps culture and contribute across our ecosystem of tools, regardless of team boundaries.
- Collaboratively write RFCs and blueprints to define patterns, architecture, and direction.
- Contribute to software design and system architecture, ensuring components support rapid development and deployment.

- 7+ years of engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to learn and grow
- Background in platform engineering
- Mentor and support junior team members, helping them grow their skills and effectiveness.
