Equinix is growing its platform engineering team to build and maintain the internal platform for its digital product portfolio, which includes a global footprint of Kubernetes clusters and core services like CI/CD and observability.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes (preferably on bare metal)
- Experience with CI/CD systems
- Experience with Linux and containerization
- Experience operating production systems and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
- Preferred: Experience with Cluster API (CAPI)
- Preferred: Experience with Go or another high-level programming language
- Preferred: Background in platform engineering

- Proactively identify weaknesses and drive solutions with a self-starter mindset.
- Promote a DevOps culture and contribute across our ecosystem of tools, regardless of team boundaries
- Mentor and support junior team members, helping them grow their skills and effectiveness
- Collaboratively write RFCs and blueprints to define patterns, architecture, and direction
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support platform services in production
Other
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to learn and grow
