Airbnb needs to ensure the pricing and availability features on airbnb.com are visible, familiar, and tangible to guests, requiring low latency, high qps, and tier zero computation to anchor the guest booking flow. The team is focused on simplifying the natural complexity of pricing and availability to enable rapid shipping of end-to-end product experiences without bloating complexity.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise and be hands-on in backend systems within large-scale service-oriented architectures.
- Strong programming (Scala / Python / Java/ C++ or equivalent) skills for hands-on IC work.

- Design solutions, build, and launch for pricing and availability flows
- Build efficient and backend solutions that are reliable, performant and scalable.
- Provide critical input in team roadmap and technical direction.
- lead large projects spanning engineers, services, and products.
- transform business needs into technical requirements, drive scoping, and lead implementation while coordinating with stakeholders and peer teams.
- building newly efficient and reusable backend components, with high quality, while also maintaining and improving performance of existing systems.
