Upstart is looking to build a new AI-native team to develop a Small Dollar Loans product that can engage and delight customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing full stack web applications professionally
- Proficiency with either Kotlin, Ruby, Java, or C and at least one other programming language
- Proficiency with React.js
- AI-native experience leveraging AI tooling to help improve development efficiency, processes, collaboration, or communication
- Experience with Next.js and Vercel
- Experience with the Spring Framework
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails
Responsibilities
- Build high quality web features for the Small Dollar Loans product
- Lead projects from requirements, through design, and into the hands of customers
- Mentor other engineers
- Collaborate with other engineers on developing northstar designs and engineering strategy
- Review code from other engineers within the team and across Upstart
- Build features which engage borrowers
- Help move Upstart's web product forward, adding more capabilities to allow all Upstart verticals to build web features

- Regular on-site collaboration sessions (3 days per quarter at an Upstart office)
