Project Janus is a new product development in the Gemini App team that aims to leverage the world-leading Gemini model to deliver intelligent automation across web browsers, computers, and beyond, developing from scratch the next generation of AI technologies that empower Google users.
Requirements
- Have experience in building using Google backend technologies (e.g. Boq, Gemini API, LMRoot, Manifold, Pod, Uniserve)
- Have experience with building real AI systems or actual agents for products
- Are excited by and experienced with going “zero to one” - creating something new, starting from a set of broad ideas in a small team environment
Responsibilities
- Develop from scratch the next generation of AI technologies that empower Google users
- Work closely with research teams to apply state-of-the-art LLM techniques
- Design, build, and deliver compelling new features for Gemini's applications, prioritizing both performance and seamless user experiences.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (design, product, modeling specialists) to translate user needs into intuitive, valuable app features within the Gemini ecosystem.
- Proactively participate in code reviews, enforce development best practices, and share your knowledge to raise the team's overall technical expertise.
- Work in a fast paced small "whatever it takes" team environment to rapidly develop a new product
