Requirements
- You have a 7+ year history of building and maintaining critical backend systems where reliability and performance are non-negotiable.
- You think about software from the user's perspective all the way down to the infrastructure it runs on.
- You're as comfortable discussing API design as you are debating the merits of a database choice.
- Our current stack includes TypeScript, React, and various AWS services, so you'll be able to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities
- Architect for Scale: You'll be instrumental in designing the next evolution of our purchasing APIs, ensuring they can handle Black Friday-level traffic spikes without breaking a sweat.
- Solve Complex Logic Problems: Partner with product and design to map out and build the backend systems for intricate, multi-step purchasing journeys that feel simple and intuitive to the user.
- Drive Future Growth: Figure out how to decouple our core purchasing logic so we can launch in a new country or support a completely new type of product in weeks, not months.
- Elevate the Team: Act as a technical compass for the engineering team, elevating the skills of your colleagues through thoughtful code reviews, mentorship, and clear architectural guidance.
