Jahnel Group is looking for a Software Engineer to join a team building high-impact systems across industries, focusing on scalable, secure, and reliable backend applications for mission-critical domains.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and React
- Experience developing for Android (preferably also iOS)
- Familiarity with SDK development or contributing to mobile apps via embedded SDKs
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Solid grasp of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and modern testing practices
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and enterprise-grade software solutions
- Work on SDKs that integrate into Android and iOS apps, as well as related backend microservices
- Optimize relational databases and write performant SQL queries
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, including TDD, CI/CD, and code reviews
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality and maintainability
- Maintain documentation and adhere to version control best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on performance and stability
Other
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mobile, QA, DevOps, and product management
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed, remote-first team
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (written and verbal)
- The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it.
