Riot Games is looking to improve the quality and speed of development cycles for their games, League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics, by building automation infrastructure, developer tooling, and enforcing engineering excellence practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of deep hands-on programming experiences in one of the following programming languages: C/C++, Java, Go, Python or C
- Experience designing and developing test automation solutions
- Experience operating & maintaining live web services including handling emergent issues and on-call troubleshooting
- Experience defining software engineering best practices within your team, including design reviews, coding standards, code reviews, tools improvements, source control management, build processes, and testing
- Experience with “Infrastructure as Code” and tooling like Terraform, Docker and Jenkins
- Experience with cloud-based services like AWS, Azure, or other proprietary variants
- Experience developing and operating global large-scale services
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality code that follows Riot and industry best practices
- Develop and adopt tools that allow League of Legends platform to operate multiple games at scale
- Build and operate scalable microservices that require performance and reliability
- Uphold a high standard of engineering excellence
- Collaborate effectively with other disciplines within game development
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation
- Participate in interviewing, and help with mentoring and career development of more junior engineers
