Microsoft is looking to solve the business problem of preventing fraud, enhancing customer experience, and supporting its global commerce ecosystem by designing and developing scalable, resilient, and intelligent services for mission-critical commerce and risk systems.
Requirements
- 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 2+ years experience working on system design, distributed computing, and performance optimization.
- 2+ years Experience building cloud-scale services on platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with Azure cloud services, such as Azure App Service and Azure Kubernetes Service, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience in e-commerce fraud prevention or financial transaction systems.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub workflows, and infrastructure-as-code.
Responsibilities
- Architect and Develop: Design, build, and validate high-scale services that support near-real-time decision making.
- Risk & Fraud Protection: Implement intelligent systems and machine learning–driven workflows to detect and prevent fraud while minimizing customer friction.
- Quality & Security: Establish development practices that ensure service quality, integrity, and compliance with security standards.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional engineering and product teams to deliver new capabilities that improve customer and partner experiences.
- Leadership: Mentor engineers, lead design efforts, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
