Otter.ai is looking for a Security Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale systems to ensure reliable, rapid deployment, robust monitoring, and resilient operations for their meeting transcription and collaboration tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience on an internal application or infrastructure security team as a security engineer or related discipline.
- Conducting code review and influencing secure product design.
- Experience working with web and mobile applications security.
- Experience evaluating vulnerabilities and responding to incidents.
- Experience designing and assessing AWS security features.
- Experience with securing DevOps, including securing the delivery pipeline, managing logs, analyzing logs for fraud and attacks, and testing security.
- Proficiency in any programming language (Python, Javascript, Perl, Ruby, etc).
Responsibilities
- Help design, monitor, and improve the security of the devices and services in AWS cloud
- Analyze, assess, and respond to various internet threats, interacting directly with the Otter’s engineering community regarding vulnerabilities and threats
- Drive security engineering projects to eliminate attack vectors, harden the product, and enhance monitoring and intrusion detection systems.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to implement security controls to efficiently deliver on security and privacy compliance requirements
- Work with in-house application development teams ensuring that best practices for security are incorporated in the software development life cycle (DAST, SAST, etc.)
- Write scripts and build tools that will use used to detect security issues upfront
- Be a security champion, while balancing developer efficiency with business needs
