Microsoft's SharePoint Embedded team is looking to solve the problem of delivering delightful, document-centric applications to millions of people, and the Senior Software Engineer role is intended to help achieve this goal by designing and delivering systems that enable the developer community to build and operate their applications, improving core systems performance and efficiency, and ensuring zero customer impact throughout the launch of new features.
Requirements
- 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go/Golang, or Rust
- Experience assessing security risks in both new and established systems, and designing and implementing detection, mitigation and resolution strategies for them
- Experience designing cloud-scale services and distributed systems with a focus on reliability and performance
- Experience collaborating with partner teams to meet engineering goals in a unified manner
- Awareness, passion, and experience related to cloud scale distributed design, patterns and secure software design concepts
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects that include multiple subsystems
- Experience with building cloud-scale infrastructure components
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver systems that enable our developer community to build and operate their document-centric applications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
- 4+ years of industry programming, software development, and/or software engineering experience
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt new methodologies to our service
