The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer–Simulation to support the MQ-25 located in Hazelwood, Missouri, and to serve as the software architect for the MQ-25 Test Training Rehearsal Unit (TTRU) software to meet current USN contract requirements.
Requirements
- 14 years of experience in C++, C, Rust, Java, Python, Go
- 14 years of software development on Linux, Windows
- 14 years of experience working with Visual Studio, Jira or Git
- Knowledge of specification format requirements, guidelines, and change control processes.
- Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems.
- Knowledge of how to derive and allocate requirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Knowledge and ability to design, develop, integrate, apply, and test software models, simulations, framework environments, tools, and applications with higher order programming languages, assembly, and auto-code.
Responsibilities
- Partners with stakeholders to advise on the review and identification of simulation requirements and dynamics of the systems being simulated.
- Oversees the design, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to assess and optimize overall system performance and capabilities.
- Reviews data collection and processing for use in simulations.
- Oversees validation, verification, and refinement of simulation software code, models, simulations, test procedures and test environments, executing test procedures, documenting test results and modeling against real-world data, test data, benchmarks, or other similar models.
- Reviews the documentation and maintenance of technical code, algorithms, specifications and descriptions of simulation models.
- Partners with cross functional engineering teams to advise on integration of simulation software with hardware devices and systems.
- Oversees implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in the software engineering simulation environment.

- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
