The Terminal Backend Connectivity team is responsible for providing the necessary infrastructure for the Bloomberg Terminal software to communicate with the backend, involving authorization, routing, load balancing, and execution of user-requested functions. The team is embarking on the next generation of the terminal architecture by incorporating industry-standard protocols and making the backend infrastructure truly distributed, using cutting-edge web frameworks to serve the terminal and allow horizontal scaling.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with C++
- Experience with systems programming or distributed systems
- Prior experience with building infrastructure or as a developer of Rapid/R+ applications is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop code and tests with a focus on correctness, performance and reliability
- Collaborate across multiple teams, work with a variety of technologies and learn new skills as needed
- Work side by side with the sibling SRE team on the operational environment and enhance its reliability
- Stay up to date with industry trends and implement best practices within the team and its code-bases
