Boeing is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Test & Verification to support the E-7A Mission Software Integration & Test team, focusing on developing next-generation Open Mission Software (OMS) Battle Management Command & Control (BMC2) Software for USAF E-7A and other Airborne Surveillance, Command and Control (ASC2) programs.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in scripting languages and testing automation
- 5 years of experience in real-time embedded operating systems, Linux
- 6 years of experience in developing and executing Integrated Test Procedures (ITPs) for mission software, focusing on sensor and track management
- 8 years of experience in software testing, integration, and verification, specifically for mission or embedded systems
- Ability to establish test requirements from supporting documentation, test plans, internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to design and develop automation of software tests, execute automated tests, track results, manage test data, and utilize results to improve software quality.
Responsibilities
- Partners with stakeholders and leads the review and identification of software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability
- Advises on the set up and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments
- Leads executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes
- Advises on test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities
- Leads developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes
- Leads creating, documenting, and maintaining test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards
