The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Test & Verification to join the KC-46 team to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. This role will focus on leading a team in software/hardware integration testing and formal qualification test (FQT) of Aerial Refueling and Mission System Software, with an emphasis on leadership, quality, process improvement, tool improvement, and test automation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing test setups, writing test procedures, writing software for control and data acquisition systems, and conducting tests
- 5+ years of experience with C, C++, C, Java, or Ada
- Experience with Linux based operating systems
- Experience with test requirements from supporting documentation, test plans, internal and external customers.
- Experience with verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show compliance
- Experience with designing and developing automation of software tests including GUI test automation, execute automated tests, track results, manage test data, and utilize results to improve software quality
Responsibilities
- Leads the design, development, and completion of test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality
- Partners with stakeholders and leads the review and identification of software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability
- Leads the design of test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications
- Advises on the set up and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments
- Leads executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes
- Advises on test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities
- Leads creating, documenting, and maintaining test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards

- This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
