Quizlet is looking to design and deliver AI-powered learning tools that scale across the world and unlock human potential by taking ownership of key systems powering Quizlet's identity, messaging, and trust infrastructure, and designing and implementing scalable authentication, consent, and compliance solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience in production systems.
- Strong experience with Node.js, Go, Python, or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with OAuth2, SSO, MFA, and privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, COPPA).
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver backend services for authentication and account lifecycle management.
- Scale consent and messaging systems to meet new product and regulatory needs.
- Lead initiatives that enhance reliability, observability, and performance.

- onsite position in our San Francisco office, with a minimum of three days per week onsite: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with security, legal, and marketing teams.
