Yahoo Games is looking to build a fresh and meaningful online casual games platform to connect millions of people through play, becoming the world's best curator for users and expanding reach to new players.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience building and shipping across the web
- Proficiency in Typescript, React, and Node.js
- Excellent coding chops, code design skills, and practitioner of web development best practices: design pattern usage; writing modular, reusable, testable code; data structures; performance profiling and tuning
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills
- Familiarity with Next.js, Tailwind
- Familiarity with AWS, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a small team to design, define, build, and deliver new features for Yahoo Games
- Code – you will spend most of your time writing code using Typescript, React, and Node.js, focused on improving the web product experience and the backend services that support it.
- This includes new feature development, refactors, bugfixes, and ongoing support
- Share responsibilities like architecture/design reviews, code reviews, performance tuning, and build pipeline management
- Own and deliver – from the small must-do tasks to larger, complex projects with many moving parts
- Share your opinions and help shape our technical direction, best practices, product ideas, and team processes.
