Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with React JS and Java Spring Framework
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and its services is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
- Experience with coding standards, testing methodologies, and rigorous code reviews
- Expertise in technologies like React JS, Java Spring Framework, and GCP is a plus
- Ability to develop prototypes and ensure architectural alignment with the Architecture group
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Coach and support a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software on time
- Continuously improve, author, and administer engineering best practices and processes
- Drive best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and deployment processes
- Develop and enforce code review standards, ensuring high-quality and maintainable codebases
- Work with the product organization to develop technical feasibility designs and estimates for the team
- Develop prototypes or designs to enable future roadmaps or unlock stuck individuals or teams
- Monitor and report on team progress and technical performance metrics to leadership
Other
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with a focus on professional growth and team success
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
