Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the long-term technical goal and roadmap for cross-device experiences. Make critical architectural decisions, ensuring the platform is scalable, maintainable, and adaptable to future needs.
  • Lead the architectural design and integration of related cross-functional solutions into our development and testing infrastructure.
  • Act as a key technical leader and representative for the Better Together team in collaborations with partner teams across Google, including Android, Gemini, and first-party hardware, as well as with external OEMs. Influence technical direction and drive alignment across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Design and implement functionalities, focusing on enhancing user experiences with features like Quick Share and Fast Pair.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, providing mentorship and guidance to engineers. Grow the team's technical capabilities by fostering a culture of innovation and engineering excellence.
  • Manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, addressing ambiguous, large-scale problems and providing technical leadership to the team and the broader organization.
