Medtronic is looking to hire a Senior Mobile Apps Manager to lead the design and development of mobile applications that help patients manage their diabetes, contributing to their mission of providing solutions that benefit the daily lives of people across the globe.
Requirements
- Experience in managing and developing complex mobile applications in Flutter (iOS or Android)
- Knowledge of mobile application security (Certificate pinning, TLS, SSO, etc)
- Good understanding and experience working with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
- Experience creating and maintaining documentation for software systems such as design documents, class diagrams, and sequence diagrams
Responsibilities
- Experience in managing and developing complex mobile applications in Flutter (iOS or Android)
- Lead and manage a team of employees that are well versed in mobile app development using languages such as Kotlin, Swift, Objective C and Flutter
- Ability to collaborate with System and software architects to interpret, analyze product needs and guide the team through implementation
- Ability to coach developers on software development and provide constructive feedback to improve design and implementation
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; can identify root cause of complex problems and provide solutions
- Provide feedback to cross functional teams such as Systems Engineering, Human factors, Clinical, and verification teams to drive quality products
- Strong technical contribution to Systems being build and guide the team through coding principles and enforce design reviews
Other
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
- Self-motivated with great written and oral communication skills
- Strong relationship skills are a must, as is excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience coordinating with remote teams
- Experience working in a regulated industry
- This position is onsite (hybrid, 3 days per week onsite) in Northridge, CA or San Diego, CA
