Collins Aerospace is seeking a dynamic engineering leader to head a Cryptographic Solutions software team developing mission-critical capabilities for next-generation U.S. military communication systems.
Requirements
- Experience leading engineering teams, including mentoring, task delegation, and cross-functional collaboration in a technical development environment.
- Experience in program execution, including bidding, project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk and opportunity management.
- Experienced with embedded software development
- Experience with Agile development concepts
- Experience managing large programs
- Experience working with communication systems.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

- Lead and Develop a High-Performing Engineering Team: Manage and mentor a team of engineers, from entry level to seasoned professionals.

- Collaborate Across Functions: Engage with engineers, engineering leadership, program managers, and shared service organizations to ensure seamless integration of embedded cryptographic solutions.

- Support Pursuit and Bidding Activities: Participate actively in pursuit activities, including bidding for new programs.
- Optimize Staffing and Program Management: Manage staffing levels across multiple programs to ensure alignment with project schedules and resource requirements.
- Ensure Compliance and Process Adherence: Uphold Collins' standards and procedures, ensuring all engineering activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
